Goose Creek Live Video Shorts
"Goose Creek Live" musical concert series began in March 2009 at the Franklin Park Performing Arts center, on the outskirts of Purcellville, VA. There were three dates in the first season between March and May. The Franklin Park Performing Arts Center is a 19th century barn, repurposed as a beautiful and modern public arts facility. Capacity is 275 seats, with padded theatre seating.
Performances were audio- and video-recorded with studio quality production values. About 20 videos of six different bands were edited in post-production. Rock and Soul singer Sam Grow, Americana and country band One Horse Town, and Pop songwriter David Kitchen turned in outstanding sets as headline acts, but we also captured some fantastic performances from opening acts Lisa Taylor, George Wirth, and Matt Boerum.
A live Album of Sam Grow's performance was released in August, and we're putting the finishing touches on David Kitchen's live album for release in November.
Our newest videos are broadcast as a 30 minute television show on Comcast channel 2 in Northern Virginia, and replays are available on a Goose Creek Video Podcast series, and on YouTube, Vimeo, and Smugmug.
Goose Creek's next step is to work with venues throughout the DC metro area that make interesting locations for live audio and video shoots...we're talking to a few folks, and will have some exciting news in the new year. These videos and live recordings are fun...we want to do more.
We'll also be back at Franklin Park in February, March, and May 2010. We're talking to some great performers about interesting concepts for shows, and will announce them here soon.
